OOC: How To Join Dysfunctionstuck

(I have said this before, but I suppose I should state it more plainly since I keep getting questions about it! dysfunctionstuck really only became a group thing because of random goings on on skype and friends messaging me about it, so while we are not necessarily actively looking for members, that does not mean that you can’t join in on the fun! anyone is welcome to RP with us, but in order to become an official member of the dysfunctionstuck family, please send the following to mayafarts.tumblr.com

• a chumhandle:: remember, this chumhandle should fit with the original chumhandle’s acronym and only change one word from the original chumhandle (grimAuxiliatrix -> glazedAuxiliatrix; arachnidsGrip -> arachnidsGrass, etx.) and should give some clue as to the character’s dysfunction (gA is always drunk, aG is always high). the chumhandle doesn’t have to be set in cement. actually, about 90% of the time we group brainstorm chumhandles for new members in a skype chat.

• a basic character concept:: this is the most important of the requirements! although sometimes we come up with dysfunctions based on what fits best with the chumhandle (this is what turntechGermaphobe did), it would be nice to have a character concept!

• a sample of ability:: what this means is some sort of sample of what you can do! whether your talent is drawing, writing, voice acting, or singing, or whatever! just something useful and fun as these primarily function as ask and RP accounts. so far we have kept it mostly to art and a little writing, but every now and then aG and/or I put out some voicey things!

• an RP sample:: this isn’t just a sample of RPing anything; it should be specifically your dysfunctionstuck character. if you want to RP with one of us as your sample, you can contact someone via ask. but the preferred method would be to send me a link to a pastebin of a chat from trollmegle where you play out your dysfunctionstuck character!

so yeah I was really trying not to regiment this down earlier because really dysfunctionstuck is very organic and natural and not really an application type thing (more of a “oh hey my friend is online let’s see if she wants in” type thing), but I have been getting a lot of messages about it, so I am making this post I guess!!! there are probably loopholes and other ways to get in if you are just completely awesome because there are always exceptions to rules, but this is going to be stasis I guess.
